Kim Hauselberger

Born in 1978, Kim is a self-taught artist from Australia. Her formal training is in zoology, where she spent several years working with frogs in the rainforests of northern Australia. It was during this time that she developed an appreciation of the divine complexity, and sacred interconnectedness of all life.

Kim has travelled widely and has been deeply influenced by the traditional art of India, Nepal, Bali and Latin America. She is compelled to investigate and express the beauty and perfection of nature through symmetry and geometry. She is also drawn to explore the divinely recurring and intricate patterns of the physical and spirit realms within the symmetrical landscape of the mandala. Her art connects dream states with the manifestation of consciousness, and the interconnectedness of all…….One.

She uses pen, ink and paper to create her works but has begun experimenting with oils and tempera. She has spent the past 2 years living and teaching in remote Indigenous communities in the desert of Central Australia where she is continually amazed and inspired by the harsh and beautiful desert life forms. She has a deep connection with the desert people and the ancient, blood-red earth.
